"Drift" is a collection of improvisations which I recorded over about three days in mid-2017. Like "M5J", the album has a pensive, nostalgic feel, and it also includes a rework of the track "Thunderhead". However, "Drift" is more ambitious in terms of audio quality, and I have kept the limiter to a minimum, to maximise dynamic range. You may have to turn your speaker up a little, but it will sound much more dynamic for it.

Unfortunately my microphones picked up some otherwise imperceptible mechanical defects from my piano. I'll have to get myself a cleaner instrument, and when I do I'll be able to improve upon "Drift". When the equipment is pushed to its limits, the bottlenecks become apparent.

In the meantime I really hope that those small defects don't obstruct your enjoyment of the collection. Thank you for listening!
